  • We went last year and were thoroughly please with the site and are going back again in April this year. The childrens entertainment is amazing. Our 2yo who was 15months when we last went wouldn't sit still for long, but we took him to see the childrens shows and he sat through the whole thing. The shop is a bit epensive so you are best buying your food for dinner etc off the site. The swimming pool was really quiet when we went last. You can spend a day on the park without getting bored, which we didn't realise until out second to last day last year. The caravans are really good. And if you need help they are more than happy to come and fix anything that needs fixing etc. We didn't eat any of the on-site food last year, so couldn't comment on that!

I would recommend the park to anyone who asked. THe staff were really friendly and helpful as well.

    Hope that helps :)

we went for october half term and stayed on site the whole time except one evening trip to the illumminations.

Swimming pool is great, with the big purple space bowl flume. We went swimming every day for at least 3 hours. There is a small playground at the back of the Mash and Barrel for the kids to play safely while you watch. The crazy golf is at the back there as well. There are 2 showbars one with the kids entertainment and another one that we never went in.

Its a typical Haven site - one of the smaller ones compared with Primrose Valley etc, lovely and clean, we went on a sun deal and had a standard van - the TV was broken but they came and replaced it .

We did not eat on site but cooked in van.

We would go back again out of season. I would not go in summer as there is no outdoor swimming pool or beach access which is what we prefer for summer. There is an outdoor splash area for toddlers at the back of the Mash and Barrel as well.

  • thanks gemma and art...... for putting my mind at rest, my holiday is a sun deal also but i have paid extra to extend it to a week, i have paid for passes, services and bed linen for week also for luxury plus upgrade, and i also had to pay a bit extra to get a 3 bed as i was only being accomodated in a 2 bed. so all in its costing around the £300 hundred mark for the week at easter, and i had visions of being put in some dodgy van and regreting it lol
can anyone comment on the caravans more ?

On all our sun deals we have been a family of 4 and although our confirmation has always said 2 bed unit we have ALWAYS been allocated a 3 bed.....i might regret saying that i we get 2 beds on all our bookings this coming year:o We have only ever stayed in standard or standard plus so i cant comment on other grades of vans but our has always been fine, once on a sun deal the wallpaper was ripped in the kids bedroom - but that's the only ever "problem" we have had.

Our van at Marton Mere was a standard - but a 3 bed. The van was fine, about 5 minutes walk from the complex. One word of warning the road from the entrance to the complex is quite narrow - with a line marking which bit of road is for pedestrians and which is for cars - but not all car drivers respect this and drive in the "pavement" bit, so i would keep a watchful eye on kids walking along and not let them get too in front especially in the dark..

  • hi sarah - on my statement it says £30 but that is for 3 nights at easter....i doubled my holiday to a week, so i guess i am paying £60...
