Hi everyone.
Just wondering if there is someone who can give me some advice. I am currently trying to sort out all of my debts. There is one debt i have thats from 2003. I hadnt had any letters about this debt for quite a while, maybe a year or so. I had heard something about debt collectors not being able to chase you for money after six years. Is this true? Im not sure if it makes a difference if you have made a payment within the last 6 years. I did make a small payment just over a year ago. If anyone can offer me any advice that would be great

You're talking about a debt being Statue Barred but as you made a payment on the account that isn't the case i'm afraid.

When did you make the payment? And before you did that, how long had it been.
If it was already statute barred when you made the payment, then it still will be.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
