new sat nav wanted....ADVICE PLEASE

hi all

I am after a new satnav for my car, i woul like free updates on maps etc, how do i get this?

ive got a garmin nuvi at the moment it charges for updates which i am not keen to pay for.....only drive in the uk so europe isnt needed, just dont know where to start....was thinking getting advice at halfords before buying online as likely to be cheaper

any help will be much aprecieated.. cheers

Not sure you will find one with free updates which are worthwhile, however, worth asking in these places to see how many of the answers are similar enough.
