How much would the customs charge be? First time I've bought anything from Canada, and they look like having some good deals so may go back0 -

I've only had to pay customs once - once a DVD box set costing about £28 - had to pay around £9 I think. Was frustrating, but still saved loads of money as the Region 2 DVD box set in the UK was £60.0 -

Blimey - I'll have to make sure I avoid that then - I was expecting you to say a couple of quid. An additional 30% on top seems a bit excessive.0 -
Royal Mail's handling fee is £4 and customs on a £20 boxset was £3.50 so all in all if your boxset was £20 you would have to pay an additional £7.50 in charges.0

DVDSoon used to mark all their box sets etc. as being worth £18, even when they cost more than that, to bypass customs charges. I don't know whether they still do, though. You might be lucky!0 -

They mark all of their packages the proper price now (I think they got told off by customs! a while back). Depending on your postie and local customs you can still get lucky though.0 -
I used to but dvd's from the USA and got stung with charges until i noticed that you could get it gift wrapped for $2.00 and the invoice would have $0.00 next to everything thus it was classed as a Gift with no value
it was a while ago but not sure if anywere still offers a service like that anymore.
