Hi All
A friend, who works for a well known bookies, has been suspended from work today. He was called and told not to go in, he asked why and they refused to tell him, saying he would receive a letter with an appointment date to go in and they will tell him then.
Does anyone know if this is allowed? I'd of thought they'd have to tell why they are suspending anyone.
Appreciate any advice, thanks

I presume the letter will detail all...The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

they can suspend him on full pay pending an investigation.
this is a neutral act.
best guess? Some cash has gone missing and they are looking into it. or it could be a staff or customer complaint. They probably won't say anything in advance in case as number of staff "try to get their stories straight" together.Debt free 4th April 2007.

When you are handling cash, suspension is done in the first instance.0
