another way of making money for the finance company. It's to cover (in part) their administration in setting the loan up (so that's underwriting the deal, paying it out), looking after the loan during the term (paying custoemr service people to answer your phone call etc) and the the admin of ending it (taking it off HPI etc)
Not to mention the cost of training those people and the cost of developing teh IT systems, having an office, etc etc.We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.0
