Tesco have their red Podpronto machine on offer at £49 until the 15th February (in honour of valentines day?!) when it will return to the original price of £119.00.

There was an in store demonstrator there today and she had run out of stock but it could be ordered with Tesco Direct at the same price.

It works with their pods for around £2 for 8 cartridges and tasted good!

It also works as a hot water dispenser.

It takes about 5-10 seconds to heat up and automatically turns itself off so it isnt burning electric round the clock

It has a decent sized reservoir and the pods drop automatically into its internal bin when you pull the lever (you could use a pod twice if you werent a strong coffee lover). No fiddling to empty it, it was a doddle (I insisted on being shown

Anyway, I've ordered one, it arrives on Saturday, just in time for yummy coffee for me and hot chocolate for the kids!
(they do tea and decaf stuff etc too)

I cannot imagine anyone wanting a capsule-based coffee machine choosing this in preference to a Dolce Gusto / Nespresso / Tassimo machine.

It looks very similar to the nesspresso to me, with potentially cheaper pods and clubcard points too! Lovely.
