Sofa max user weight

We are looking at a sofa for the dining room,it is a 2 seater and says the max user weight is 17 stone 4lb,is this per seat or the whole sofa.

i would say per person,as they refer to max user weight
not max weight

I googled it and found a Q&A for Argos,it is actually the whole combined weight for the sofa,how rubbish is that.

What do argos mean by 110kg max user weight?

Is this for both sofa and the left/right hand unit combined?

Is this altogether? Does argos mean that regardless of number of people on the sofa the weight can not exceed 110kg/17st or is this 110kg/17st per person?

17 stone is not alot if this is collectively, my husband and our 9 year old both sat on the sofa would be 17st, so where do me and our 11 year old sit?

Can you please explain what is meant by maximum user weight 110kg please.

Hi, thank you for your question.

Having spoken to our supplier, I can confirm that in reference to the 110kg maximum user weight, this is the maximum combined weight for the distributed surface of the sofa.

This is the maximum weight that the Byron Leather Effect Left Hand Corner Sofa Group - Black has been tested too. It does not mean anything more is not suitable.

What it means is : Don't come back to us if the sofa collapses, unless you can definitely prove that at no time did more than 2 small people sit on it.

unless its only gonna be kids sitting on it!
