One of the drinks in the deal is the Freixenet Cordon Negro Cava 75cl £9.49 at Mr T's but only £6 at Asda - (looks like it's the same one) possible JTD to make this a better deal ??? Personally I don't like Cava but may be worth a try is anyone is buying it.

Thanks Lewis, however I have to say it looks like their "finest meal for 2 deal" where you choose side, main, dessert and wine that usually costs £10, just different dishes oh, and a fiver more because it's "Valentine's"

then you will get £3.99 back in JTD

I thought Tesco decided that the Meal for £XX was a special offer and they wouldn't pay out on the JTD for a single item?

That's interesting, where did you hear it? It hasn't been happening recently, there's been a pile of people on the T's misprices thread reporting a decent JTD saving on both the wine and a side part of the £10 deal which ended yesterday. I'm actually waiting on a price check I filled in yesterday with 6 meal deals on the receipt, I'll report back when I receive the result.

I have been doing this for about 8 weeks now, the Finest wines have always compared for me and JTD each time no problems.

It has worked on 1 MD or Multiples and states in the T&C for JTD that only 1 item has to compare, plus Special Offer items are included.

I would think it compares for JTD because the food items come back as N/A so the total spend is generally just for the wine cost, which is less than the price of the meal deal.

Thanks for the replie about JTD - will give it a try again. It was whiile back I tried it. I got the difference the first week but when I bought it again the following week, it was declined. Theree was quite a long thread about it at the time.
