Noddle Credit Rating Query?

Sorry, this isn't technically in the right place but I was unsure where to put it and my boyfriend and I have been looking into buying a flat so I have recently been checking our credit ratings on Equifax and Noddle for this reason. Mods please feel free to move if you feel more appropriate elsewhere.
I know credit ratings aren't to be taken TOO seriously when applying for a mortgage but I checked mine a few days ago and all is fine. I've now just checked my boyfriends and something I'm not sure of has come up. Equifax shows that he is on the electoral roll and has been from his current address for the past 2 years, which is correct (moved in 2010). However, Noddle notices that he's on the electoral roll, again for the past 2 years at current address, but states "Current status - Not present on Edited Roll". What does this mean?
I compared to mine and mine states "Present on Edited Roll".

It means that your boyfriend chose to opt out from the edited roll, which is available to commercial organisations for marketing purposes.
Credit checking firms have access to the unedited roll afaik, so it does not matter: BF just enjoys a reduced amount of junk mail and cold calls.0 -

Ahh ok, thanks! So that should have no bearing on his credit rating then?0
