Private Healthcare Help!!

in Cutting tax
Hello everyone,
hope you're not too cold these days! I had a question which I'm struggling to understand (and apologies if it is daft)
My wife and I both have an option for Private Healthcare at work, I am a higher rate tax payer and she is a basic rate payer. Our employers provide us each with free membership with the rest of the family being a taxable benefit.
We have 3 kids and I was wondering if it would make sense for
a) the whole family to be under my scheme
b) the whole family to be under my wife's scheme
c) we each have one scheme and the kids are under either mine or my wifes?
Is there a difference in tax implications for any of the above?? Many thanks in advance for the help!

Hello there
The best solution is surely for your wife to take on the scheme through her work, such that the benefit in kind is taxed at 20%, rather than 40% through your work.....or am I missing something?!!0
