A nice easy way to start or boost a collection for free is via the BBC website, we have had quite decent sucess from emailing Radio 2 all the classic presenters such as Terry Wogan, Sarah Kennedy, Aled Jones etc.also some more interesting ones such as Chris Evans, Russell Brand, Jonathon Ross, Elaine Paige and even a personalised message from Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden).

Simply go onto the BBC radio 2 website and go through the A-Z of presenters and either use the email address or the contact the show form, although we have not had 100% sucess its pretty high and replies usually within 2 or 3 days!
