The FOS are extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. To anyone who is still being charged interest in a DMP, my advice is to go for it, the phonecall is free and you have everything to gain :T

    Hello
Found this thread and would be very interested to see the link you put in your posting theukcardsassociation.org page 681 however, when I try to open it, I get "page not found" has it been removed I wonder? I too am in the position of being on a DMP with Barclaycard who are increasing interest without notice. However, my other creditor Halifax is worse. I am paying £2,500 off at £37.00 a month. £30.00 is taken in interest and only £7 goes towards the debt, so it will take about 29 years to pay off at this rate - I'll be long gone to the grave by then. I am about to report them to the FOS. Could you post the link again if you can find the page please.
    Many thanks

It looks like they've re-vamped their website, but I've found the relevant page here - http://www.theukcardsassociation.org.uk/best_practice_guidelines/Credit-Card-Repricing.asp
I have no experience with Halifax but Barclaycard really are the pits. The don't even bother replying or acknowledging my letter until I send a follow up by recorded delivery. Even then they refused point blank to reduce my APR, so off to the Financial Ombudsman Service it was and, hey presto, as if by magic - Barclaycard reduce the APR to original rate and refund all that they'd over-charged me. They are such a joke.

Good luck, and don't give up
