Tangled singalong party - any ideas?

I am doing a Tangled singalong party for my daughters 7th birthday.
I will be playing the movie with the subtitles on and i will give them props to use during the film.
So far i have:
Does any one have any other ideas?
I will do a prize for the girl who sings the most songs to encourage them to sing and not be shy.
For the food i have thought of homemade bread which has been plaited, butterscotch pudding to look like hazelnut soup.
I could do with some more ideas on themed party food.
I will be making a Rapunzel tower cake.
Thanks in advance for any help.

So far i have:
- Boo and Yippee flags to wave at the appropriate times
- Pascal party blowers for when he is sticking his tongue out
- Hair clips to put in whilst Rapzunzel is having her hair plaited.

sounds good fun - haven't seen Tangled so can't help, I'm afraid, but think it's a great idea for a party.

thsi sounds great - my daughter would love it - I'll keep somthing like this in mind for DD's party in May!!
How about some sort of lanterns? Are you gonna dress up as mother Gothel!?! LOL!!!! They need bare feet - Rapunzel has no shoes!
Stick the hair on rapunzel as a game (like pin tail on the donkey)?
As far as food goes.... make a sign and put near the food area 'snuggly ducking' that can be their pub where they can eat..... Rapunzel also uses a frying pan to whack Flynn over hte head - make some frying pan plates!?!
have a look here - http://www.supermommoments.com/2011/01/tangled-party-decor-food/ some great ideas! Good luck

Thanks Brudie25! You have some great ideas there. I have a witches wig left over from halloween - i could use that as a start to dress up!
I was thinking about chinese lanterns, but i wasnt sure how dark it would get by the time the party finishes.
I will definately use the frying pan plate idea - hopefully i can find some black plates and attach a handle onto it.0 -
how about lantern making as something to do. you just need to get some card, cut out some windows and stick coloured tissue behind the windows, then stick the edges together so that it is a tube shape and thread some string to hang :j might keep the kids busy for 10 mins

Oooooh I love Tangled... can I come to the party please?!

They could bob for apples (if there are any left after Maximus has eaten them all?!
) Oooh you could get things to 'clack' together (coconut shells?) to make horses hooves sounds whenever Maximus is on screen? Something like torches/little battery powered nightlights/etc to light up whenever Rapunzel makes her hair glow?
I wonder if I'm too old for Tangled party?!

Thanks for some more great ideas!
I love the idea of something to 'clack' together whenever Maximus is running.
It would be great to do the torches ideas. I wonder if it would be too much to ask them to bring there own light up thing as there will be 13 kids coming, so it would cost too much for me to buy for them. If they have light up toys from pantomines that could work well.
Birdie85 - i dont think you can ever be too old for Disney! I am so looking forward to the party, even though my kids will probably tell me not to sing - i can get a bit carried away with musicals!0 -
You could get glow sticks? You can get tubes with quite a few in for a couple of quid from the cheap shops (Home Bargains, Poundstretcher etc)

You could get some cheap tiaras and hide them around the house for the girls to find, maybe do this before the film then they can put them on when Rapunzel puts hers on!
I may know this film too well
P.S. My favourite Christmas present this year was a toy Pascal!
I'm 26, my DH bought it for me and I think it was secretly for him too! :rotfl: Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
For tiara's i have just found this website http://h30393.www3.hp.com/printing/app/us/en/consumer/party-kits.aspx
If you click on party kits you can print out make your own tiara's. I have got some stick on jewels that the kids can use to personalise each one.
I still cant think of much else for themed food. This week i will be practising making plaited bread to see if it turns out well enough.
Thanks for everyones ideas, they are great!
