Research Focus Groups

Hi All.

I registered with a research focus group, and received a few "assignments".


Firstly they are asking a few questions, wich seems a bit 'sensitive' to me such as:

• Your full name, age, contact no, job title and the industry you are in?
• Do you have children under the age of 16 living at home – if so how old are they?

Now I understand they will NEED information from myself to check if I'm eligible for a prticular assignment, but how sure you are if the information will be used for 'good' purposes?

(First time to take part in these groups, and may be a bit paranoid).

What "bad" purposes do you think they are going to use them for, esp as they didnt ask DoB but age instead?

I recognise these questions and if they're from the same focus group that I am part of I can vouch for them ans say I've taken part in numerous studies and always been paid nicely, they seem very professional.

These questions seem very basic and not overly intrusive bearing in mind they need to check you actually fit the right demographic!
