Hi All
My fiance and I have been engaged for just over a year and have began getting stuck into the great research that is wedding planning. We live in South Wales area near Cardiff but would really like to hold our wedding at a castle/manor house/hotel somewhere no more than 2hrs away i.e. Gloucestershire area, Shropshire, Cotswolds etc kind of way.
Does anybody know of any hotels etc that offer an 'all inclusive' package of reception costs as well for about £3000 or under? We are looking at having around 50 people to the ceremony/wedding breakfast and a possible 40 to the evening do. All of the places I've stumbled across so far have been absolutely beautiful but the wedding breakfast costs pp alone are just completely overpowering our budget.
Any advice would be appreciated! : )
Thanks :rotfl:

Hi,
The only places I can think of are
Rowton Castle - Shrewsbury
Western Park - Shropshire/
Staffordshire -Chillington Hall
But sadly I think all 3 will be over £3000 - sorry probably have not helped you at all:o
Patshull Park might be worth a look. We were thinking about here before we decide to go abroad.

I cant offer details on castles or stately homes in the £3000 price bracket but you could look at holiday inns....they certainly have packages that would match up to your price bracket....

Otherwise try to search for a small hotel who may be able to accomodate your requests...the beeches in Bristol is very good...but possibly a little wide of your search area
Somewhere like this may be a little closer

A few expensive wedding packages but there is one midway down the page that will cater for 20 day guests and 75 in the evening for £3100...so it could be something for you to investigate if you were able to trim the daytime guests
Best Western hotels also offer wedding packages although a quick search of cardiff bought up around the £4000 mark so a little over budget....
something else to consider would be a midweek or sunday wedding...these can be a lot cheaper and if booked at quite short notice then even better value for money.
Not sure if youve just looked online or if youve actually contacted any venues direct...but sometimes contacting the venue and asking can produce a discount in price from the advertised prices on websites.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
