Take a look on here first.

Seeking to narrow down your specification/choices, are you looking for a "DVD Recorder" or a "DVD Recorder with Hard-Drive"?
You only specify "DVD Recorder", hence my suggestion/comments are only on that.
IMHO one of most useful aspects of either device is what, if I recall correctly, is called "chasing recording" - which basically allows you to start watching the programme you are recording whilst the recording is still in progress. A "hard-drive recorder " will achieve this as will a DVD recorder which takes DVD-RAM discs.
Another useful feature is "built in freeview tuner".
My recommendation would be to look at the Panasonic DMREZ25 which has
Uses DVD-RAM discs
Freeview Tuner
"Upscaling"
HDMI output
Price approximately £170Money Saving Fan.0 -
thanks, just to clarify a bit better, i like the idea of a hard drive recorder it would save having to go through discs to find what we wanted but it would also have to have the option to transfer from the hard drive onto discs cos mother quite often wants to borrow things we have taped....
we have sky so dont need the freeview option
would have to record onto normal dvds
was hoping to find something under £100 if possible
