Further Information:

In truth, the item wasn't actually available on the site. If you attempted to search for it or navigate to it (before we hastily added it yesterday!), you wouldn't have found it. Instead, it appears that somebody had 'mischievously' constructed the URL link you clicked on, to display a product from our database that wasn't actually listed on the site (hence the zero price). In the online industry this is known as a 'hack'. Which sounds unnerving but please rest assured that:

1) It could only ever affect the way products are displayed on our sites (a design 'bug' which is currently being fixed by our website development company), and...
2) Your transaction (the part of the order process where you entered your card details) actually took place on SagePay's secure server. This is the most important bit because it means your card details were protected by their rigid security systems. In fact, they're so strict, we don't even have access to them. However, we are - and will always remain - committed to our customers' online safety and security.

Obviously, in common with most online shops, our terms and conditions do say that if pricing mistakes like this happen, we can simply cancel the order and inform you that this is the case (see http://www.dvdgold.co.uk/Terms++Conditions.htm, point 10). However, we thought it was better to explain the situation in greater detail. And, of course, we really hope this won't deter you from visiting us in the future!
