Prices in B&Q, homebase are nearly the same. i know in homebase their cheapest fence is the 6 x 6 buget panel is £10.99 However the quality is so poor that they will need replacing more frequently. i think you better pqaying a bit more for good quality.Homebase a having a 10% day on Thurs to Sat this coming week0

Hi Grinch, If you find anything suitable .and CHEAP!! please let me know as I have to replace mine, its also approximately the same length as yours. I have been quoted £400 by someone to do it everything included, it seems an awful lot to me? the quote states: 7 panels 6' x 6' . 9 8ft posts Materials £170 labour £230. Total £400.
I would appreciate any opinions please. Or any cheaper alternatives. When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0 -
just in the middle of doing mine.. - 26ft 10
got 4 * panels 6ftx5ft @ 9.25 each
4 * base panels @ 3.80 each
5 * 7'9 concrete posts @ 4.90 each
all plus VAT..
All that cost £96.01 inclusive.. Post mix from B&Q is £3.62 for a 25kg bag.
After that it's manual labour.. dig the holes approx 6'2 apart for the fence posts and approx 21inches deep.. that's where i'm upto at the minute and that's the hard part..
After that it's just a case of erecting the fence.. put the first post in to first hole, add 1 bag of post mix and some rubble then add water.. from there it's a case of adding the base then the next post and so on till it's done and then sticking the wood itself in. Shold cost you a lot less than £4000
