The costs, such as transport, food etc will (or at least should) be covered by the company.
Where are you going to/from that is a 10 hour train journey? Is there a sleeper train on the route? Evidently you are somewhere near London, even London to Aberdeen is only 7.5hrs on a train! Would it be quicker to fly?
Living in hotel rooms is a pain but it is only one week a month. Check your contract but I suspect it will contain clauses that say you will need to work where necessary and so you will have little comeback on your employer.
Ultimately you need to weigh up your work/life balance against your current salary and what other jobs are out there.0
