**Help....it won't go away!**

Sorry if this is in the wrong place or has already been dealt with, but I'm pulling my hair out! My pc has picked up something called 'dropin savings', a pop up thingy that offers coupons for this n that when I go onto Amazon, EBay and various other places. Since I've acquired this, my pc has slowed to a crawl ( I feel it must be this as my pc is relatively new and has no viruses or other issues that I know of, and have done the usual disc defrag/cleanup). I've run Maleware bites, which didn't pick it up, browsed the net & followed the advice given on various sites, but ITS STILL THERE!
Any advice? Please?! :(

Run CCleaner and delete the Malware via Tools by uninstalling it and/or making sure its deleted from the startup list.

Did you do a quick or fulll scan with Malwarebytes?
    Did you update it first?

In firefox go to addons extensions if its in there disable or remove it it appears to be a tool bar.

    Edit
... Also had "dropinsavings" popup toolbar coming up. Found a suggestion on line to disable the "dropinsavings" toolbar by disabling the extension called FaceTheme (in Fire Fox under Tools | Add-Ons | Extensions). This got rid of the dropinsavings tool bar and solved my sit...

If you are using IE browser click start, and goto control panel.

Select add/remove programs from control panel. windows vista/7 users it will be programs/features

Select the gameplaylabs plugin from the list and click uninstall/remove.

Many thanks for your replies! I've run CCleaner, which didn't pick it up. Have gone thro' the IE add/remove programs ~ it doesn't show up! Have gone thro' tools, then manage add-ons (IE) ~ not there! Updated Malware and ran a quick scan, so will do a full scan 'n' see if that works.

Remember to update Malwarebytes first before scanning.

    What browser are you using?

dropinsavings is a bit of pig to get rid of and there are many and varied solutions to try and uninstall it, it's just finding the right one for your system.

Multi browser uninstallation instructions are on the webpage - Right at the bottom.

If your still stuck with it try this.

Download OTL & save it to your Desktop

    http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.exe
    • Double click on the OTL icon to run it.
    • Select Scan All Users
    • Under the Custom Scan box, copy/paste this in:

      c:|GamePlayLabs;true;true;true; /FP
    • Click the Quick Scan button. Don't change any other settings and let it run uninterrupted. The scan shouldn't take too long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt
    • Post just the contents of OTL.txt for now.
You may have to post the log over several posts to get it all posted.
