Quidco Question, Help Please?

hi all -

Was doing insurance quotes for my dad through Quidco- I have cleared my cookies but when I go to 'merchant enquiry' it still comes up on the drop down list - how can I get rid of these to make me a 'new' customer through quidco?

thanks

  • It should still track, Quidco just logs you going through the link. If you clear cookies you will be set.
  • As spudgun says, it just logs you going through the link. This will help make it easier for you, as the history log may help you if at a later date you need to make an enquiry and can't remember the exact date you bought from the merchant.

If you don't want Quidco to have a log but you still want to go to the merchant(s) (to get quotes or to do some research), log out (if already logged in) and (do this if you haven't logged in too), search for the merchant(s) and then click on the merchant link.

Just remember that when you are ready to buy, close your browser's windows (as if to start from new), clear ALL your cookies and your browser's cache/Temporary Internet folder then log in through Quidco to do your transaction(s) as normal. ;)
  • Yes as said above clear history and delete offline files, and remove cookies...if that also does not help...try using history swatter (a tool free dowload from net), and that shall clear all ...
Note: if u using that tool, be aware that it would cleary all ur history from registry as well.

  • Be warned you won't get the quidco money unless you are purchasing it in your name. I had this problem when I bought my husbands car insurance. Fortunately I was a named driver and paid for it on my credit card so they paid up.
  • I have been stung with that one I now have an account for my Husband and one for myself.
I also have a question I have been looking at Travel Insurance via Quidco and will obviously get a better deal if i take out insurance in my name then my partner take his out seperate would this work?
