mp3 recomendations ?

Options
hiya

I'm looking at buying an mid-priced MP3 for the hubby, he's not very technical minded and so i'm wanting to keep it simple, just something to listen to on the beach on hols, only needs about 1000 tracks tops so i thought a 4GB, likes the touch screen and what tracks to play. looking at spending £30-£60.

Can anyone recommend a decent one ? been looking at Sony NWZ-E443 4GB as not too small but don't know if it's any good ?

Any help would be great ?

Sony are good sound and quality players, that model is an older one this is a newer version, only slightly more expensive.

I've had many Sony players (walkman, CD player, minidisk player, mp3 player...) the only reason I stopped was because they seemed to have stopped renewing them at the top end and I wanted something comparable to the ipod. (There wasn't anything).

I would also say others have had luck with the sansdisk players and the archos players which seem to be quite a bit cheaper. As a brand Samsung are apparently not as good at Sony at making MP3 players but are still worth a look.

I just wanted to ad to save you embarassment if you go actual shopping for models in stores, what your looking for is an "MP3 player", (MP3s are what you load onto the player. ;))
