Does anyone have any knowledge of an internet company called 'Savapoint'?
We bought a DVD recorder from them through the Tiscali website home page but it does not work and we are having problems getting a refund. There was also supposed to be 8 free dvd r discs with but they did not arrive.

From what I have read on some forums, I think Savapoint was bought by Watford Electronics, but traded as a separate company (but still part of the group) - rather than trading under the same brand e.g. CPW, e2save, OSPS.

As Watford Electronics went into administration earlier this month this could be a reason why you are having problems with getting a refund. They supply the goods (like your DVD recorder) through Tiscali's website. Have a read of these 2 stories:

HIBS, the company that went into administration was Savastore, not Savapoint.


Caseydog, have you tried their customer service number? What is the reason for the trouble with the refund? Has it been a while since you bought it or are they refusing on other grounds?
