Hi,
I just placed my first order and the £40 was discounted but I have still been charged for delivery.
I think I need to sign up for the free delivery pass but I've got no idea how to do this, can anyone help?
Thanks

Just got a reply from them. Unfortunately you have to pay for delivery on your first order, they then email you with instructions on how to apply for the delivery pass.
Shame you have to pay for the delivery on the first order, seems a bit silly seeing as the deal included a free delivery pass.0 -
Hi,
Sorry for hijacking your thread! I bought the same groupon deal and am currently trying to checkout my grocery shop. Would you mind telling me which of the codes on the groupon voucher they sent is the one to put in the voucher code box at checkout? I tried all 3 codes (groupon code, security code, and ref.) and 2 of the 3 said no such voucher existed. The security code said "sorry, we no longer accept john lewis vouchers". Thought I would check if I was entering the right thing as the information on the voucher didn't give much detail.
I held back from doing a tesco shop all weekend waiting for this to activate, I'd be gutted if it doesn't work as the fridge is so bare!

It was the one in the 'Voucher For Your Recently Purchased Deal' email.
There's a picture of an Ocado van and a shopping basket and the code is in a grey box to the right of this. My code had a semi colon ; at the end of it and I put this in to make it work.
I spoke to them on the phone earlier and they were really helpful, maybe call them if it still doesn't work.

Thanks, unfortunately none of the codes I can see have a semi colon so I wonder if we got slightly different emails? I tried the one by the picture of the van and even added a semi colon just in case but it's still not working, so I think a call is in order. Thanks anyway!0

Sorry that it didn't work. Hope they're helpful and sort it out for you.0

I spoke to Ocado yesterday to say the code wasn't working, the csr was really helpful and tried to enter the code for me to no avail, apologised and said I need to go back to Group on, got through to groupon today and again very helpful guy who dealt with the email we sent yesterday, received an email from him to say that some numbers haven't yet been uploaded and sometimes it takes a day or two until they're active. Ok, been great customer service BUT I bought this under the assumption that I would be able to use this immediately after 8pm on Monday 6th Feb as it states in the fine print, I have shopping waiting to go through to checkout, deals that may end and now only 1 day to try and get delivery for Thursday. It's not good enough.0

I too got this Groupon offer, and I'm quite peeved that you had to pay for your first delivery as this wasn't clear (heck, I can't even find it written anywhere on the emails I received!).
Currently trying to argue the point with Customer Service people, but their turn around time on the thread is proving a little lengthy... I'll report back if I get anywhere.
Not impressed with Groupon at the moment, second time they've messed me around.0 -
Strange that the code didn't work, they did sell literally 1000s so I'm guessing they're struggling with demand, not that its any excuse.
I'm very unimpressed about paying for delivery too, I thought the whole point was you were getting it free for a year! Why couldn't they just let you sign up for the pass before you made your first order? I got round it by choosing a delivery slot that was free anyway, although it did mean my shopping arrived at 10pm last night. Let me know how you get on with CS Sheanie.0 -
Has anyone managed to register for the free delivery pass? I just cannot find out how to do this. I've already made the grocery order, I assumed that would take you to the option of registering for the pass, but it still shows as £69!!

You should get an email within a few days of your first order inviting you to apply for your pass. The link will take you to the page where the pass shows for £0.00. You have to sign up by 31st March but I'm going to leave it until the day I place my next order to stretch the year long pass out a bit.
Its rather annoying that you're not allowed to apply for the pass before your first order, it means that unless you manage to find a free delivery slot you'll have to pay for delivery on your first order.0
