Just had a letter land on my doormat from this lot...Never heard of them before so I sat down with a cup of coffee...I mean I am interested in getting fibre broadband, aleit FTTC.

Seems this is an advert for all the available fibre companies offering it in NI..Hopefully it won't be long until O2 are up & running..

  • O2/Be started FTTC trials in England tail end of last year. No news yet on how they are going. With Sky's product announcement last week, the pressure is definitely on O2/Be to get their product to market also.

Thanks,I'd switch to O2/BE but I'd avoid BT/Talk Talk like the clap!...As for the other FTTC suppliers I'd be a bit wary as I've never heard of them before so until I'd find out what their CCare is like..Incidentally,Skye Marketing,on behalf of Talk Talk were doing the rounds last week...again!

I've been on BT Infinity since August 2010 with no major issues and would recommend. A faulty modem was quickly replaced and I found their helpdesk good.

Agree with avoiding Talk Talk, they will tell you anything!

NI broadband.com is a BT wholesale website

Apparently BT are replacing all the modems for the earlier Infinity customers as there is an inherent fault.

I installed Infinity in Dec 2011 and was provided with the latest modem, which unfortunately failed on Saturday night / Sunday morning. I called the helpline and within an hour they had made an appointment for an engineer to visit between 8am and 1pm on Monday morning to repair or replace - On Monday morning the engineer arrived at 8.10 and was away again by 8.40 leaving me with a functioning system.

Credit therefore to BT in this instance.

I'll sign up with Satan himself if he'll give me FTTC and get me faster than 3Mb! And I do remember my first 9600 baud modem and I do know how lucky I am etc..!
