Help with experdian credit report

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post! not sure where this should go.....

I have just signed up for a Experdian Credit report, and I have a loan with Natwest which obviously was on there, but where it has ur repayment history thing for them it a green 0 with brackets round it, which the key said was the most recent, so im assuming thats this months and then it had 7 1's(!) after it and then the rest where green, now when I read the key at the bottom it said that 1 meant 1 missed payment, so does that mean Ive had 7 missed payments??????? Because the only payment I paid late was last months, because I forgot to put enough money in my account :o

Can some1 help me with what all the 1's mean?! lol

Hi, If im reading you right, I think you have have missed 1 payment so you are now 1 payment behind which means until you pay that additional month you missed you will now be late for the full duration of the loan, call them and ask them what you are behind and see if you can make it up and then you will be back to Green

Call them and ask them why they are reporting you 1 payment behind if you think you are indeed upto date.

  • Sorry i didnt make myself v clear in my post, what I meant was Jans payment was basically paid late - but I did pay it, and this months payment has been paid on time, persumably thats why I got the green, but I cant understand why I have got 7 1@s (had the loan for about 2 years and always paid on time, except this one time in jan o7)

sounds odd, I would call then to check why this is, they should be able to answer you quickly, how have you been paying the loan ?? have you always paid it the same method or have you changed the way you pay it ie by cheque, into a different bank / post office to pay it ??
By the way the (1) means 1 month in arrears and not that you have just paid late, you can pay upto the 30 days before it is reported as a month in arrears.

Speak to them to ask first, if its there error then you can ask for them to amend your credit file which they can do, have u checked Equifax to see if its the same ?

    Interesting

  • Sorry, im making this very complicated!! I pay by direct debit, but its NOT my bank account that my salary etc gets paid into, thats why I forgot to put the extra money into that account to cover it. Stupid I know, I need to move it to my other account really so this doesnt happen again
I have got another credit report with another company (cant rem name) but havent got my log in details on me to check, but I will do

Hmmm so looks they are saying I am behind in my payments then? think I will have to speak to them

yes as you really dont want these late payments on your file especailly for 7 months on the trot,

Let us know what happens when you speak to them , seems odd that you have 7 months in arrears if you only were late in Jan and then if you were only late this should not have shown as a missed payment.

  • lesson learnt!! :o

I know i have DEFINATLEY not missed 7 payments, hate bloody natwest!!! grrrrrr and Im pretty sure they took Jans payment cos I had a letter from them advising that there wasnt enough money in the account and they would try to take the money again on X date. Will check statements etc when I get home 2night from them and see.

Thanks for all your help btw :)
