keeping copies of sick notes isnt an issue as the doctors can provide duplicates. They are in my medical records that I am entittled to. Only reason iv had trouble getting my dup is because my doctors seem to of turned useless. I have got a dup now, I rang my solicitor and he said to go the docs and not leave till i get it. And i cant hand it in myself as HR is a 3.5hour drive each way for me. The idea of faxing it is there but they also seem to be good at not recieving faxes aswell.

With a fax you got proof that it reached their building therefore you are not responsible for it after they received it as that is their problem not you. :(

if you use outlook - you can get a delivery receipt and also a 'read' receipt - lets you know when the email was opened?

Doctors can charge for duplicates and it is not exactly an efficient use of their valuable time. If you have a fax record with a copy of what you send that should be enough to prove that you sent it.

Exactly, it costs you pennies to make photocopies, why inundate a doctors surgery with more paperwork for your convenience. I hope they charge you £30 for the trouble. Because it's annoying that you're using the doctors surgery as your PA.

only if the other side agrees to send the received notice. They will get a pop up asking they want to acknowledge receipt of the email.

Any decent corporate IT department will have that turned off, because this can be used by spammers to confirm active addresses.

they cant dissmiss me. they have no grounds to dissmiss me at the moment.

Their grounds are that you are absent from work, being off sick is not necessarily a defence against that. As it's due to an injury at work they may be more circumspect about dismissing but it may not stop them should they decide (for instance) that they can't carry on covering for your absence and need to recruit someone else to do the job.
