Dishwasher salt for salt scrubs?

Hi, I'm hoping that one of you knowledgable ladies (or gents) on here would know the answer to this. I'm going to make some hm salt scrubs as gifts, and wondered if I could use dishwasher salt? There's a major price difference in this and proper sea salt!

Thanks Kal, had a look on there the other day, after reading the hm soap thread!

It's just that I've got a big bag of dishwasher salt, seems a shame to waste it!

Salt is evil on my hands ~ makes them really sore. I use dishwasher salt tablets, and can't get them out of the sack with bare hands.
