do u get told before a default

hi everyone n happy monday
I'm lagging behind a bit on few cc's due to no income over christmas. We've made part payments where we could and can get it all back up to date on Friday....are these defaults? scary to think my credit rating is shot due to couple of bad months with late payments

your rating wont be shot - but it will be hurt a little. You history will show missed payments unless you pay the minimum requirement. As long as you make that back up - that is make a minimum payment plus what you didnt pay last month - then your file will show as being back to "green". However, that one missed month will show for the next 6 years. Its not a deal breaker but it is visible to potential lenders.
Its not a default as such - and wont show as "D" just as a missed payment.0 -
