I've not accomplished very much. My MIL rang to see how I was feeling so I had a good moan. She told me to ring my Mum to see if she could come over. I agreed this was a good idea as I haven't seen her since Christmas Day. I rang her and she was looking after my 2 poorly nephews belonging to DSis and DB. I was outraged - I never dump my kids when they are poorly. I begged her to send them back to my siblings and to come and look after me. I should have saved myself the phone call.
DS1 and DS2 are tidying the kitchen. A 5 minute job has so far taken 30 minutes and it is ongoing.0 -

Hi - I'm Rebecca, a newbie poster to the forums, although a frequent reader of them and I think Dusty must be psychic. I usually wipe down my work surfaces and hob on a Monday anyway, but this week the floor needs both sweeping and mopping, and don't get me started on the ironing! I'd also been planning to sort my cupboards out, so please can I join in?
Thank you Dusty for reading my mind .......

Talk about the best laid plans of mice and men ...... When I replied last night, I'd planned my day and how I was going to fit everything in. I was not happy when I woke up at 10.00 am no less! And I'm usually such an early waker-upper - anytime between 5.00 or 7.00 am. Anyway, here's what's been done so far.
Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Level One
Wipe the table and work surfaces - done
Sweep/Hoover/mop the floor - swept, but will leave mopping until tomorrow

HHI - have been doing HHs throughout the day and Mount Ironmore is fast becoming a hill. Fingers crossed that it might just get finished this evening!
Level Three
Sort your store cupboard/baking cupboard/ladder and meal plan - tomorrow
HHMe time for everybody - does going to fetch papers or replying to this message count? If so, done
Extras
HHPaperwork or bill paying/budget updating - am in process of creating a mini office space for my paperwork and I try and work a bit each day on this - haven't yet today
Dust any surfaces which need it - done
Dry any doormats/boots etc which have been left wet from the snow - put to dry yesterday and put away this morning0 -
Learning from previous mistakes I started with the messy task - the store cupboard!! An hour later I have recovered long lost treasures - and a few horrors and filled two bin bags!! Taking a well earned break - but rest of tasks shouldn't be too bad!0

Have done a hhi and have got a load of darks in, have a wool wash to do tomorrow so thought I'd get caught up on it tonight. Ben racked out after his bottle, I put him in his car seat to go to the shops to get milk and bread and he fell asleep in the car so I've left him n his car seat rather than risk waking him. Not a thing to do regularly I know but once in a while won't hurt.
Just off to do a quick blitz of the kitchen and then going to sit down and watch some tv. Hoping to keep Ben asleep till 11ish as means only 1 wake up through the night0 -

Mon - DD1 and I at CAB re her appeal against her DLA rejection.
Tues - DD1 and I at orthodontists! (her choice!)
Wed - school swimming in the afternoon.
I have made a decision - this will be my last year of school swimming - I have done the last 4, which have got harder and harder.... the nearer I get to the 'change', the drier my skin becomes and the more I suffer from eczema in winter. Add to that a change of pool which means that we now swim for an hour rather than 30 mins and there are no showers for afterwards.
And providing DD1 maintains her slow and steady improvement I want Weds to be about Orange Wednesdays, not school swimming. My youngest child is 18 - my days of swimming with a primary school are oVER!
If that was four years volunteering to help the school out then I hope that you are suitably thanked - :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
