Same thing, read the Techie forum....just uncle Gates getting another 50 notes out of you!
And it is Premium upgrade at Comet, as the machine comes with MCE
  • Surely would be better to have Vista Premium upgrade DVD as then you could use the disc on other computers if you were so inclined:D
  • Thats a nasty graphics card... don't expect to be able to play any of the higher end games if thats what your using the pc for.

If your looking for a nice new pc, your better off building it yourself.. you can save hundreds and come out with a better pc. If you don't know what your doing, then your probably better off by going down to your local pc cornershop type place and getting a quote... majority of the time, they won't charge as much and you can customise bits and pieces.

Besides the shared graphics card, it's a fast machine for the money. The card will use ~250MB out of the 1GB of RAM and not good for games as you say.....but i doubt you could build a Dual Core system (with Vista Premium OS) for this money.

It's a perfectly good machine for the vast majority of people. I've bought several Acers from work and they all seem well put together with proper branded components inside (Gigabyte motherboads, etc). I would be happy with one of these for myself (not a big gamer at all).
