Bought one of these 3 weeks ago from PC World for just under £20.

Its a nice mouse. Works well with her Vaio and my crummy old M700 linux laptop. The dongle could fit into the mouse rather than onto it, apart from that its very good. It works on the sofa arm and also the duvet.

    Cheers
  • 2 questions - 1 daft (ish) other ok:

    1. Does it have to be for a laptop, or can i use on my PC?
    2. Don't have admin rights to laptop - does it need software loaded on the machine to run?

    Thanks

I just plugged and played (in windows XP and Linux). There is a software disk with the mouse but we haven't used it. The mouse wheel also clicks left and right and I guess the s/w allow you to configure the clicks as you wish. It should work on any PC, not just laptops.

As for administrator rights? Your guess is as good as mine. I'd think that on a normal home PC you'll be OK. On a work based network, it depend on how good the systems team are.

    Cheers
