Ukala sheepsing mid calf boots @ amazon

Sorry, but I think these are awful. Mine arrived and I was really disappointed with the look and quality of the lining. I've had pairs of Bearpaws previously with the proper sheepskin linings, so stupidly was expecting these to be the same (didn't notice the description - my fault). I only wear them as slippers as they cover any socks in white wool fluff, which then gets everywhere and I can't wear them without socks as they're too cold! They also look quite 'cheap' compared with Uggs / Bearpaw.

Oh well, at least I got a pair of new slippers....

:rotfl: can you believe it!
Most of the boots have gone back up to full price £75 to £85!!!
even with the 20% discount they have going on now, its still over priced.0 -
I emailed Ukala about how dangerous these boots are in certain conditions almost two weeks ago,had no response.0

I love my boots and have worn them a lot but have just noticed that the lining has come away from the top inside the boot :-( just emailed amazon to see if there's anything that can be done.0

Sent a 2nd email to Ukala and received a ridiculous reply today,i will post it below, they are basically saying don't wear them in the rain
Hello ******
I am terribly sorry that this has happened to you! The EVA sole used on our product is a common material used by many other brands. However, the current sole lacks the treading that is needed for a wet weather boot. Because we do not recommend that wearing suede in the rain (as it is a material that is highly susceptible to water damage), we do not advertise our product as a wet weather boot. We are currently working on new sole designs to improve traction overall.

Same! Suede gets damaged in the rain.0 -
In this day and age when you can buy sprays such as the one i use,Kiwi Aquastop which protects suede from water and stains it isn't a problem,it keeps your boots looking like new etc,if you live where i do it rains all the time anyway so you have no choice but to wear them in the rain lol
Emu even manufacture the water resistant ones now.
Also, flip flops etc have EVA soles and other boots i have do,this is the first pair i've ever experienced a problem with in wet weather.
At the end of the days the soles are dangerous under certain conditions.0 -
good news about amazon metoyoubear!:T
I have 2 pairs of Ukala boots, one pair i wear as slippers and the other i dont wear, i love them, i brought them because the price was right, but am planning on probably wearing 2nd pair next year, but visiting the cobblers to see if the can put a durable sole on b4 i truely start wearing them.
My boots were a little bit slippery when i first started to wear them and i know that if i were to wear them outside consistently, they would not last very long.
I bet Ukala are very much aware of the problems buyers are having with the soles of boots and no doubt it was about saving pennies, that is why it amazes me that the boots are back up at full price.
I look forward to see what changes they make for next winter.0
