Definition of Red Alert Letter

Hi,

Is there a definition anywhere of what constitutes a red-alert letter from an endowment company for the purposes of a mis-selling claim? The company I am trying to claim against have time barred my claim and say I got a red-alert letter more then three years ago. I was wondering what wording that letter had to contain to be classified as a red-alert.

Thanks.

To be considered a "red alert" letter, the letter must warn that there is a high-risk that the endowment will not pay the amount required. It doesn't need to be in red ink, or say "RED ALERT". The key here are the words "high risk".

    Hope this helps.
