Can I keep my cheap mortgage when moving home?

I'm on a really cheap mortgage at the moment (0.5% above base rate), as rate this good aren't around anymore - if I was to move house would I be effectivly re-mortaging so creating a new mortgage at new worser rates, or would I just be able move the existing mortage account to the new house? Or does it depoend on the lender?

    Read you mortgage documents to see if the existing mortgage is portable.

    Any additional borrowing will be at current rates.
