Can I offer car finance company a lower settlement figure?

Hello,
This is the total amount of debt on the car that I took including interest
£14952.80
The total amount of credit without interest is £11107.20
I have paid 6 x £238.63 =£1431.78 so far and I am nearly in a position to pay all of the debt off. It was a poor agreement to get into and I am now clearing it.
I phoned them for a recent settlement figure and they said approx £10,500 to finish it.
Am I in a position to ask them to lower the finance figure at all? I am just trying to save myself pennies as I don't want to give it to them... :T

Normally you would only get a lower settlement figure if you had defaulted a few times.
I wouldnt try that option really because you will trash your credit.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Oh ok, I have never missed any payments on anything, I just thought some people ask and they sometimes get. I will avoid doing that then, thanks :j0
