CRB Check - Documents required

Not sure if anyone can help me, but my son is looking for work experience from various places, and our local NHS accepted him to do do a week there during half term this month. Yesterday he went in to do all the security paperwork and for the CRB check part he took all (or so we thought) the documents needed for this. Now they are wanting one more thing (letter) which proves his address and were given a list of documents accepted by them. This seems to differ to the direct.gov.uk list (we've checked and we have and have shown everything that it says on there already) and we literally have thought of everything that they could possibly have and we have exhausted the list now, I've even dug out his repeat prescription card. He went for a university interview on Wednesday and they accepted what he took for their CRB check - which was the same that the NHS had yesterday. I have to take something in today. So can they demand something else like this - I mean, he's only 17 and limited to what he has actually got!!! I'm just baffled now as to what I can do. Thanks in advance!!

In general for ID purposes you need something to prove identity (photo driving licence, passport etc), and something that proves your address. The latter needs to be something which is recent, and of significant "value" that its likely you'd only have it sent to your real address. Typical ones are bank statements because you are unlikely to have your money details sent to the wrong address - does he have any kind of bank or building society - even if you don't have a statement would the branch be willing to print out their registered details on some headed paper to show that he has registered your address with them? Beyond that its a question of talking to the people involved and trying to get to a point where you can provide something which solves their problem, namely that they need reliable evidence that he lives where he says.Adventure before Dementia!0

The CRB form will have a list of acceptable documents on it, if you don't supply then they will reject the form until it has the right ID verification.
I'm no expert (it's a few years since I completed my last form), but NHS may require different CRB level due to access to vulnerable people.0
