Just ''something on the internet'' and being able to ''make money whilst you sleep'' reminds me of a episode of the Simpson's when Homer wanted to start an '' internet business'' because everyone was doing it, but he had no clue what he was actually doing after he'd gone out and bought a fancy PC and registered a domain etc, lol. I guess it's a LOT easier said than done.
The only thing I have that is anything like what is being discussed (only 50 times riskier) is that I dabble in the stock market, spreadbetting using very small stakes.
I've averaged just £20 per week for the last year or so. But I guess that's closer to gambling that having a legitimate, online business!
I do remember that classic Simpson's episode, but it is easier than some people make it out to be. If you can turn something you like or a passionate about and create a website or blog about it then, people will eventually find you and possibly buy from you. I wrote my first e-book in May 2010 about something I like, converted it to a PDF and made a suitable website to promote it with. I then had two related websites review my product, which had a positive outcome and then the sales came flooding in through Clickbank. Ofcourse I had to hand give 60% on any affiliates sales, but 40% of quite a lot is much better than 100% of very little or nothing.
Most of the information required in writing e-books, PDF conversion and building HTML websites can be found for free on You Tube and I have picked up loads of hints and tips from there, which has saved me a small fortune.

Today I got a text from one of the people I did 'work' for last month, saying that he had two colleagues interested in the same as him. This will add another £40 to my MSI for Feb, so £165 next month and subsequent months. Probably another 4-5 hours work for those. :-)
None of mine are MLM :-)
That's great and demonstrates that people can make income from other sources apart from or as well as, a full time job. Which is rather the point I'm trying to make too!'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

I suppose it would at some point as a means of making other regular income. I do other things as well not just that, it's not my only source.
I'd actually like to do something more physical but a bad wrist fracture last year limits me somewhat.
