I too got these last year and they were really good.
Would agree with those that said we had a good wait for them to arrive though. The reason given was that they had had a larger than anticipated demand for them (really? free children's books in a NATIONAL newspaper? and you didn't expect many people to want them?!)....
..still, yes, they were really good when they finally DID arrive. My children are still reading theirs - except for the bl~~dy Pirate one which, after seventeen thousand bedtime readings, has "mysteriously disappeared!".

How much are the newspapers does anyone know please as quick sums have just made total £30.66 for 25 books if newspaper 50p each (this may be wrong price). Add on the above postage cost £5.66. I am thinking this is a bit too much for paperback books or if that just because I usually shop in discount book stores

does anyone know if last times one said on the book that it was a copy from the paper?
was thinking they could be good for gifts, to go in hampers. but not sure if it says on the book 'with mirror paper' - if you get what i mean0 -
*puts down laptop and wanders up to son's room to check ...
There is no mention of The Mirror on the outside or inside of the books we have; but where the price would normally appear on the back, it is clearly marked "Not For Resale" (about an inch square):heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Can anyone tell me how the schools collect for this offer ? Thanks0

Last year they were paperback very thin and small, good though. My granny collected the tokens because she buys the paper anyway so fab deal for me! but personally I wouldn't buy the paper just for the books in my opinion it wouldn't be worth it. If you add up the cost of the papers and postage I would rather go on redhouse/the book people site with the money and buy my kids some books they will actually read/be interested in as they never seem to choose the ladybird books off their shelves to read. hth someone0
