Custardy, have you checked to see if you can get netflix via the xbox recently?
We've suddenly got the 'unable to connect' come up on my son's.

looks like Netflix have closed the loophole or some other change has affected it
it was down, then came back and then went down again
So it might be someone will find another way or it maybe gone for good
I took another free trial to see

the IP punts you to the UK site
if you had a US card, then possibly

I mean using the program on pc to access the usa site, sign up on usa site (instead of logging into your uk registered account.)

you don't have a USA registered card
on the PC you can sign up to the UK site and then use a program to access the US content
thats not an issue (already covered in this thread)

    still not enough info
the laptop would need a TV out like HDMI. which the TV would need to support
    sky doesnt offer Netflix

I've done this and although the wii gave US content the first time I tried it, it has been refusing to ever since - still getting the error with the web address. Haven't tried the xbox yet.

Might just give up and go back to Lovefilm. I'm not paying on top of Netflix for the VPN and OH says that the UK content isn't worth the fee.

It is possible if you have an HDMI connection on your TV and laptop and connect them using an HDMI cable.
