Coffee Machine

Hi. I want to buy a coffee machine for my friend who is having a big birthday. I have £150 for this. I think I want a Gaggia one. I don't want those little capsule things. I want one you put finely ground coffee into and it makes cappachinos. The reason I am struggling with this is I don't drink coffee myself and so it is all a mystery to me. I am sure my friend will be very surprised and delighted at my choice of gift. Help me to get the best machine !!!!

Gaggia make some excellent machines, however, the only model within budget is the Cubika Plus ... £141 at Amazon... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gaggia-Espresso-RI8151-60-Machine/dp/B001HZE7VU/ref=sr_1_2?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1328205601&sr=1-2
It's been tested by Which? but didn't score highly enough to be a 'Best Buy'.0
