Txt Loan WONT ACCEPT REPAYMENT

I'm in a dilema, I refused to pay the £25 admin charge on my account. I lost my bank card christmas eve, the loan was due christmas day, I went to my bank to draw out some cash for the following 3 days festivities and they wouldnt give me more than £100 unless I cancelled my bank card, so I did it, not thinking. They e-mail me the day after and say that a £25 admin charge has been levied onto the account. Couldnt get in touch over the bank holiday, But as soon as I could explained the situation, told them I can pay it in over the counter if they waive the charge, they refused. This goes on for two weeks and their utter refusal to play ball has brought me to here. They say they are going to register a default on my shiny new all green credit file, I've got the money to pay, but I refuse! There is now £50 in admin charges for two automated e-mails, no texts, phone calls actual letters, automated e-mails. So now even though the interest is now more than the original admin charge, I said look, I'll pay the £162 for the loan and intrest, just waive these admin charges. but they are refusing.

What should I do, pay the £162 anyway? Will they still default me? Grit my teeth and pay the £211(NOOOOO!)? Let it default dispute the charges and let it go to a judge? <----If this can I get the default removed. I am angry and confused, and its nearly friday.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

You didn't pay the the loan back whenit was due so you are liable for the charges.
How did you get money from the bank with no card? If you were in the bank on Christmas Eve why did you not set up a payment for that day? Christmas day being a bank holiday and all.

Looks like your own stubbornness to accept the "right and proper" £25 admin charge is going to cost you dearly.

Note to all the others: Txt Loan do not set up a recurring payment authority. Quick, grab your loans and "lose" your cards, everyones a winner!!!

But it's not your ball it's theirs. I'm afraid you can't sign or agree to a contract and then re-write the T&Cs to incorporate a waiver of an admin charge. It's just not going to happen, pay it off as soon as you can.

    Hi,

I can give you bit inside knowledge to this company from a 100% reliable source and she said this company do not log anything on anybody's credit file at all not even searches so no you will not get defaulted.

but if your credit rating is so 'green' why go for a PDL sure u could of got better or cheaper credit but hey I'm no expert but as others have said you signed the T&C so you will have to suck it up and pay the fee's just count yourself lucky will not effect your credit rating.

They could go for even better, submit a claim via moneyclaim online for the balance and as not paying due to admin fee that was in the contract will 99% land you a ccj
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Pay the loan and forget about it. Your own stubbornness has brought you to the current situation and has made matters worse.

A lot of people 'lose' their card when it comes to the time to repay a payday loan.

You should have juts paid the £25 and moved on.

  • credit rating is green coz im young, like i said it's new. Anywho, thanks for the advice, the CAGers over at their forum gave me some language to throw at them and they've waived the charges. And no default. Woop woop its the sound of the police. Paid in full. Pot calling kettle springs to mind with some of your responses.

I'm actually glad to see your success over the charges - I like it and how it should be when someone is only trying to pay back what they owe and I'm sure it is why the PDL companies wack on charges, because of those that indeed actually pay 'nothing' back

really motivating read! : ) thanks for sharing the outcome
