What dates have others been given for delivery?

A mate of mine called and said his expected delivery is 22nd March but mine is dated 27th March. Both are ordered using Express Delivery. Why so different?

I thought they said they would only take pre-orders for the stock they had. If this is the case why aren't they the same day delivery?

my 1st class delivery order (now cancelled) said:

Dispatch estimate for these items: 25 Mar 2007
Delivery estimate: 27 Mar 2007 - 28 Mar 2007

My express delivery order says:

Dispatch estimate for these items: 26 Mar 2007
Delivery estimate: 27 Mar 2007

If you order with free supersaver delivery it says:

Dispatch estimate for these items: 25 Mar 2007
Delivery estimate: 28 Mar 2007 - 30 Mar 2007

I don't know why the orders with 1st class or free supersaver delivery would be dispatched a day earlier than the express delivery orders? I would have thought the orders from people paying £8.99 for express delivery should be more of a priority

its not even released until 23rd march though!?

I know, how good is that. It definately says, delivery estimate 22nd March

There's still over 1000 left (add 999 to your basket and it accepts) which is quite surprising, either Amazon have got a very large quantity or people aren't ordering.......

When do they charge your card, is it after delivery.

Im just back from work and have ordered mine i have an expected delivery date of the 27 - 28th march.

just a thought, are amazon doing this so that if we dont get ours on the 23rd that can say that the expected delivery was the 28th, so they have something to fall hack on.

Also the emails from amazon said :UK customers: if you choose First Class delivery, your console should be dispatched in time for delivery on March 23.

Thanks to everyone this morning saying they werent able to get a pre-order, was thinkin i had missed it.

they normally charge when item has been dispatched

I didn't think there would be a scramble for them so Im not surprised they haven't sold out very fast.

I think in time (a year or 2) the PS3 will be the market leader but until there are more killer games such as MGS, Gran Turismo, Killzone etc and less straight 360 ports I can't see any reason for most people to buy one over a 360.

I say most people coz I bought one, the ONLY reason I bought one now and didn't wait until Christmas was Bluray. Its cheaper than a bluray player and I get a free kick !!! console thrown in.
