Trust Deed and employment

I've been offered a job with a company involved in the finance sector subject to satisfactory references. I'm not worried about the references from previous employers, I'm concerned about the credit check they do.
On the reference form, I was asked a series of Yes/No questions, one of which being 'have you ever entered into a Trust Deed' to which I said yes. I also spoke to the HR department of the company and admitted to having poor credit before I even filled out the form.
I've been through a long process to finally get this job and everyone involved has agreed that I'm perfect for the role. What i'm wondering is, will the fact that I've had a trust deed and poor credit history destroy my chances of joining them, even if I won't be involved in any FSA activities? Are they likely to be very rigid with this one factor, despite me fitting the bill everywhere else?
I won't know until tomorrow or early next week if my references have cleared. I'll be gutted if I don't get it. It's such a great opportunity for me.
