Removals company - Glasgow

OK, jumping the gun a bit here, but I'll be moving in early April, and wondered if anyone could recommend a good/reliable removals company, that won't cost the earth?

I'm not moving far, and won't have much in the way of 'big' furniture to take - I'm leaving white goods, bed, wardrobe etc as part of my sale, but sadly don't have anyone to lift the sofas etc out for me, or I'd just hire a van.

Saying that though, I will have numerous [heavy] boxes to shift, tvs and whatnot, so probably will be like a full flitting. :D

Any recommendations?

Much appreciated. :)

Dolly, if I find anyone myself, I'll let you know. :)

I haven't put my offer in yet, on the flat I'm hoping to buy, just waiting to confirm the date for the sale. So, don't want to get too carried away yet, phoning for quotes, as I don't want to jinx things. :rotfl:

I would definitely recommend a company called Flat2Flat. The guy that owns it is based in the Westend. They have a really simple to use website and it gives you an idea of price on there and they give you free boxes.

Honestly do not have one bad word to say about them. My partner and I moved from Uddingston into Glasgow, we had loads of boxes and one very large couch and it was about £170. The two guys that turned up seemed really nice, and never huffed and puffed at all, after going up and down the stairs to our Uddingston flat. They have large van/small lorry type things, but we were probably in the same sort of position as you as we were leaving a lot of stuff. And although it is called flat2flat they do go to houses! Hope that helps.
