So, could I use one of these in place of a normal light bulb (in my bedroom for example) or would that confuse my body and prevent me from sleeping after i've turned it off?0

Lol, of course not. I used to have daylight bilbs in my front room, the light they give off is amazing, makes a massive difference compared to 'yellow' light.0 -

I doubt the intensity of light from these bulbs would be anywhere near the 2000lux needed to treat SAD or keep you awake at night. Though those wishing it get a sound nights sleep Wiki has more info on Melatonin
