noodle_doodle wrote: »oh yeah, and the other reason for using Amazon is that they do use the Post Office to deliver. Other sites use some half-arsed delivery company that usually has one depot per region of the country. At one point some halfwit delivery boys were expecting me to go to the far side of livingston (20 miles) to pick up a parcel. I told them to send it back and I'd cancel the order. I'm harsh like that me. If I'm asked to go to Livingston.
but you can't be sure of that

The problem with mobile hairdressers is that they have a reputation as being an OAP thing... They could do with some good pr, or taking ads in shops/paper stating that they can do more than mullets and trims!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

I am not disabled and I don't consider myself shackled to my car, I like to walk and cycle when I can.yes,I as obviousy having a go at the disabled.....
However I cannot carry heavy objects on foot (including groceries). I cannot take lots of time off during the working day.
I don't like walking in foul weather and don't like going out on my own in the dark.
Those with small children cannot walk long distances.
People's lives and society in general are not set up so that people can get and do what they need within walking distance.
I would love to see less driving, but the world is no longer set up that way, for example people do not live near their families any more.0 -
