How the hell quidco works? I couldn't make head nor tail of the website (Don't know if that's because of my fuzzled baby brain though!) so would appreciate if someone could explain how it works and what you have to do..

Hi
When you register with them you earn money from them for shopping online. EG i checked with money supermarket for the best quote for my car insurance and budget was the best option, they are registered with quidco so i found them on the quidco site and then entered the budget site via quidco (its the same site it just registered that i'm registered with quidco) and i completed my insurance renewal and paid. Because this was all done online I earnt £25 for doing something i was going to do anyway. I've also done this for tiscalli and other transactions.
Its a great way of making money for nothing. You can set a level at which quidco will transfer the money you've earnt to your paypal or bank account, when it reaches that level it will transfer it over. Well worth signing up if you shop online.
I hope that all makes sense0 -
I don't shop online except very rarely for car insurance etc... oh well! lol

Did someone also say there are free clicks like pigsback?

Basically, to add to MissPoppy, please someone correct me if I'm wrong!!
Say you were to click on an Ad for a companyon another website, eg Tesco on ITV (I don't know if they advertise there, just an example) then tesco would pay ITV a referral fee for 'referring' you, the customer, to them.
Quidco uses this same technique but instead of the first company (eg ITV) getting the money, quidco get it and then pass it on to you, in theform of cashback. The more members Quidco has, the better cashback rates they can bargain for so sign up. I've made £90 doing verylittle more than my christmas shopping, Kelkoo searches and opening a quidco account.
Hope that makes sense/ helps xxOfficial DFW Nerd No 2750 -
Similarly because I am registered with Quidco I got my contract phone from
O2 by going through the Quidco site. I get redirected to O2 to complete the purchase. I got £35 back via the Quidco account. I believe it's based on a commision basis, because Quidco does draw in a lot of viewers. So if you want to get your mum a bunch of flowers and you go into the Quidco site, you look for the sites on Quidco like Bunches, Flying Flowers etc, you click on their link which acknowledges that you have done it through Quidco and you get 2% - 5% or £5, £8 or whatever it says at the beginning of the link. It costs £5 to join Quidco which is deducted out of your first cashback HTH"Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0 -

Neither do I, but still worth registering with Quidco for the car insurance alone. Plus your contents insurance and the chance of being paid for, say, setting up a new saving account. Every little helps.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MoneySavingExpert Forum Team0 -
So do you actually have to buy anything to get the cashback???
Also what's pigsback??Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Quidco is a referrer site, lets say you like buysing CD's and you often buy them from Play for example. You would go to Quidco and login, search the Quidco site for Play and click on the link that takes you to Play from the quidco website. This tells Play that you have been referred to them by Quidco.
When you buy something on the play site via this method, Play will pay Quidco a referrers fee and Quidco, at present, will pay you a 2% cashback on your purchase.
I hope that makes sense.....
It is a brilliant idea and the Home insurance cashback they are running at present it awesome. I just got 1 years home and contents insurance for £151.50 and £120 cashback. So £31.50 for a years buildings and contents insurance!0 -
Log on to Quidco and search Kelkoo, you get 10p a day doing a search thru them. Just click on anything that is on the front page!
Pigsback, another click through site but you get point instead of money and you can then redeem the points for vouchers. Look for the Pigsback thread on the Freebies Board (i think!) and that will give you loads of hints on how to use it!Official DFW Nerd No 2750
