Legal Claims

I (along with 400 other claimants) won an equal pay claims depute against my employer (local authority council). My employer has agreed to give us back pay in accordance with Scottish law.

However, my lawyer says it will be months before an offer will be made. I accept that it will take time for my employer to assess all 400 claimants, but is there any time restrictions on how long they get to make a financial offer of compensation once the claim has been won?

Bass, you would be better off posting this in the work and benefits forum. If you go to the forum jump which is under the 'we run mse forum' picture on the right and just scroll down. Have a look through employment, jobseeking and training first. If you don't think that's the right place try looking in the redundancy section.
Well done on winning you case, I hope it comes through nice and quickly for you. J x

Great minds ktflosspot. I'm just really slow on the computer, your post wasn't there when I started the post. :rotfl:
